I like reading random facts about people – all the ins and outs that you would never think to ask. I’m not always great at asking questions, I think social media and texting has made talking really superficial. ‘Yu kay? Ye You? – Good WKend?’ I know we don’t all speak like that, but what was the last time you really asked someone a question. Here’s a few randomly generated questions from your truly.

What is your favorite thing about summer?

Ice cream. Is there anything better than sitting in the sunshine, sunglasses on, limbs splayed out, devouring an ice cream? Favourite flavours include mint chocolate chip, double chocolate, anything coffee flavoured, raspberry, or tiramisu.

What’s better, having high expectations or having low expectations?

Is it bad to say low expectations? As a kid I would have said high – but recently I’ve been better at taking life as it comes. If it goes well – brilliant. If it doesn’t? Well find another way to sort it out.

What is your favorite candy/chocolate?

Malteasers, boiled fruit sweets and dairy milk with Oreo’s. Big fan of crunch chocolate bars too.

What is your middle name?

Thomson – it’s my mothers maiden name and I kind of like it.

If you could choose to have any useless super power, what would you pick?

Be able to read squirrels minds.

Or maybe something to do with prossecco.

What is the first thing you do in the morning?

Turn of that dang alarm. Search my phone to check something terrible hasn’t happened during the night and then drag myself out of bed to brush my teeth.

Do you like to plan things out or be spontaneous?

I’ve always been a planner, not leaving any details out and getting super stressed if anything goes wrong. But recently I’ve been leaving things a lot more to chance. Life is a little too short to panic to much. Keeping things spontaneous is brighter.

What do you do to stay in shape?

CARDIO – at least three times a week and a lot of walking. I can’t drive (although not the end of the world in London) but I have always walked/wandered/explored a hell of a lot. I’m going to go and circle Greenwich park a couple of times this afternoon.

Do you shower in the morning or evening?

In the evening generally (after said cardio ^.) I have super long hair and it’s much less frizzy and crazy when it dries naturally overnight.

What was the last movie you saw?

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 – baby Groot is a little legend.

So there you have it – 10 questions about me. I’m off to find a re-run of Guardians and malteasers. Byee.

MEXICO

Helllllo readers, it’s one of those day where I’m a little booked-out and I wanted to do something completely different and I stumbled across the 25 questions nobody asks tag and thought it sounded like a little bit of fun. Enjoy.

Do you sleep with your closet doors closed or open?

Why would you sleep with the doors open? (Unless there’s too much stuff to shut them – maybee then) I definitely sleep with the closet doors shut to keep the monsters in.

Do you take shampoo and conditioner  bottles from hotels?

Yes, I’m a terrible person.

Do you sleep with your sheets tucked in or out?

Normally the sheets are falling off everywhere, I’m a terribly restless person.

Have you ever stolen a street sign before?

No, but I did witness one of my intoxicated friends pick up a sold house sign and dance with it before falling over with it. Those were the days.

Do you like to use post-it notes?

Not really, I prefer lists or big sheets of paper with lots of ideas. Post-it notes just get lost or stuck to one of your limbs. Sexy.

DUCK FACE. Nah, I often do a couple of funny faces or a cheeky teeth smile.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

I think bad emailing practice; think how you would feel if you opened that email and it was horrible. I don’t like rude people very much.

Ask Lizzy

Hello readers, it’s finally time to get round to answering your questions as to the Q+A I posted a little while back now. There have been so many posts to fit in and get written up for you so this one is a little overdue. I received a number of comments and emails with questions and I’ve picked seven to answer in this post.

So firstly: Are you a SuperWhoLockian? Or watch at least one of those three shows? Are you a Marvel (movie/TV) fan?

As I’m sure I’ve mentioned many a time I am a really big supernatural fan. I was introduced to it by my boyfriend at the time and it’s developed into a full-blown addiction. Before you ask Dean wins as to my favourite of the two. I am also a definite Sherlock Holmes fan both the books, films and the television show. Benedict Cumberbatch is just, sublime. Doctor Who, not so much. My aversion to Sci-fi has killed that interest unfortunately.

Next, If you could travel to one place in America, where would you go?

I can only visit one place? I think if that was the case it would have to be New York. I could explore the bustling Times Square, peer up at the Empire State Building, gaze upon the Statue of Liberty and finally I could munch on a bagel whilst sunbathing in Central Park. Ugh, can I go now please?

What are your thoughts about the book-to-movie trend that’s been going on much more so than usual recently?

For me, as long as I’ve read the book, if I want to then I think it’s great. For me I’m unlikely to go and read a book after seeing the film but many a friend has mentioned that they now ‘have to go read the book’ and I think anything that gets people reading more is just brilliant.

When you were little, which literary character did you want to be friends with and why?

I think Matilda, because all she wanted to do was read and from such a young age she adored books and was just lost in them. I was often teased for how long I spent in the library and all I wanted was someone who just understood the magic and fantasy of reading.

What is the most random thing you’ve ever watched all the way through on Netflix?

Well, this one is a little weird. I was watching Netflix with some friends and as a giggle they had picked lots of favourites that were the polar opposite of the shows the person would normally pick to watch. One of the suggested television shows was ‘Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse’ and we decided to watch an episode. As a mention it was me and four guys who were watching this; the episodes were really sarcastic and ironic and we were all looking at each other as in, what is going on? Needless to say we watched a number of episodes and the next time I was round I managed to convince them to watch it again. A random choice, but a rather wonderful one at that.

Who is a character from a TV show or a book that you’ve always resonated with?

Good question, I think honestly Amber from The Chocolate Run, she’s one of my favourite bookish characters of all time. We agree on ambition, following your dreams, love of chocolate and never being quite okay to open up and let people see everything about you. I think she is an adorable character and I see a lot of the qualms she’s dealing with currently in my own life. We could watch films together, eat chocolate and hide from the world for a little while.

Gin, vodka, or tequila?

Tequila, tequila, tequila.

So seven brilliant questions and seven hopefully interesting answers; thank you to everyone who commented and emailed.
