Helllllo readers,
Hope you’re well – I mean it’s Friday so hopefully the day at least has one positive. It’s time for another bookish blogger tag and today’s is about us library lovers. I adore the library, not that I’ve been going recently I’ve been so overwhelmed with ARC books I’ve had to wait a little while to have a wander around Hanley Library but I will soon. I found this lovely tag at ‘A Book Lovers Playlist.’ run by the equally lovely Kayleigh. As always I’m going to tag anyone that feels like completing this tag – and if not, have a wonderful weekend y’all.
I’ve been a lot better with this recently – I tend to take out just three books to read in the two weeks and stick to that. If I don’t I seem to either lose one of the books, or end up forgetting to take them back and getting a big fine which I then could have spent on books! *wails.*
3. How old were you when you got your first library card?
I think I maybe 4/5. I remember always going to Milton Keynes library and having to be physically pulled out by my parents. I used to love snuggling up on the beanbags on the floor and having a really good read.
4. Do you go to your library looking for a particular book or do you check out anything that peaks your interest?
Depends – when I did my classic book challenge I went in looking for certain specific books, but then I often get distracted and pick up completely different ones.
5. Do you use your library to check out just books or do you also check out dvds, audiobooks etc.?
I haven’t as of yet – just books for me currently.
6. From what section of your library do you check out a majority of your books? ( YA, middle grade, adult, nonfiction.)
It really depends – but as with the blog it is often a completely random jumble of books. It may be YA, classics, contemporary, chick-lit. It depends what I’ve just read and what I’ve seen on social media – basically I never know.
7. What is your favorite part of using your local library?
I like reading books I wouldn’t normally read which I find on the different shelves. Some days I go specifically to pick up one book and end up picking up another which I wouldn’t have done if I was in a book shop. I just want ALLLLLL THE BOOKS.
There we go, a tag all about libraries which I think are just brilliant. Libraries are so important and to think so many are closing due to not being used is a little heartbreaking but fingers crossed the more that go the more they will be seen to be pivotal and we can strive to keep them open! If anyone fancies completing this tag – comment below or tweet me @littlebookblog1!
I’d love to complete the tag!
Id like to do this tag
I went to the library last week after a very long gap of absence, took out three non-fiction books, one must have been the largest book in the whole library, then had to carry them for the 30 minute walk home, my arms were aching by the time I could finally put them down.
Brilliant tag!
Glad you enjoyed!
Ooh I would definitely love to do this tag! Great one – and great answers!
