Hello readers, it’s finally time to get round to answering your questions as to the Q+A I posted a little while back now. There have been so many posts to fit in and get written up for you so this one is a little overdue. I received a number of comments and emails with questions and I’ve picked seven to answer in this post.
So firstly: Are you a SuperWhoLockian? Or watch at least one of those three shows? Are you a Marvel (movie/TV) fan?
As I’m sure I’ve mentioned many a time I am a really big supernatural fan. I was introduced to it by my boyfriend at the time and it’s developed into a full-blown addiction. Before you ask Dean wins as to my favourite of the two. I am also a definite Sherlock Holmes fan both the books, films and the television show. Benedict Cumberbatch is just, sublime. Doctor Who, not so much. My aversion to Sci-fi has killed that interest unfortunately.
Next, If you could travel to one place in America, where would you go?
I can only visit one place? I think if that was the case it would have to be New York. I could explore the bustling Times Square, peer up at the Empire State Building, gaze upon the Statue of Liberty and finally I could munch on a bagel whilst sunbathing in Central Park. Ugh, can I go now please?
What are your thoughts about the book-to-movie trend that’s been going on much more so than usual recently?
For me, as long as I’ve read the book, if I want to then I think it’s great. For me I’m unlikely to go and read a book after seeing the film but many a friend has mentioned that they now ‘have to go read the book’ and I think anything that gets people reading more is just brilliant.
When you were little, which literary character did you want to be friends with and why?
I think Matilda, because all she wanted to do was read and from such a young age she adored books and was just lost in them. I was often teased for how long I spent in the library and all I wanted was someone who just understood the magic and fantasy of reading.
What is the most random thing you’ve ever watched all the way through on Netflix?
Well, this one is a little weird. I was watching Netflix with some friends and as a giggle they had picked lots of favourites that were the polar opposite of the shows the person would normally pick to watch. One of the suggested television shows was ‘Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse’ and we decided to watch an episode. As a mention it was me and four guys who were watching this; the episodes were really sarcastic and ironic and we were all looking at each other as in, what is going on? Needless to say we watched a number of episodes and the next time I was round I managed to convince them to watch it again. A random choice, but a rather wonderful one at that.
Who is a character from a TV show or a book that you’ve always resonated with?
Good question, I think honestly Amber from The Chocolate Run, she’s one of my favourite bookish characters of all time. We agree on ambition, following your dreams, love of chocolate and never being quite okay to open up and let people see everything about you. I think she is an adorable character and I see a lot of the qualms she’s dealing with currently in my own life. We could watch films together, eat chocolate and hide from the world for a little while.
Gin, vodka, or tequila?
Tequila, tequila, tequila.
So seven brilliant questions and seven hopefully interesting answers; thank you to everyone who commented and emailed.
You should give Doctor Who another try. Honestly, it’s better than Sherlock and Supernatural! 🙂
Loved reading this! We seem to have quite some stuff in common. 🙂
Yayyy! That’s lovely to hear!
That’s it you have won me over, I love supernatural and Jensen Ackles/Dean is so dam hot he can take me away any time 😍
When it comes to Supernatural I actually have no favorites. I love both Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) since I see them as a team.
Though I can get behind wanting to be friends with Matilda and sorry that you got teased for your love of books. Books are the best and I would rather not be friends with people who don’t get it. Thanks for sharing.
Mmmm I see what you mean 🙂 I just have an love for dean haha he’s so serious and Ben so silly :))) I think it’s because I was always in the library and not wanting to go outside, but I did just love books! Thank you for commenting 🙂 xx
