Hello readers and welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday post from yours truly. This Tuesday’s Top Ten from, the Broke and the Bookish is a top ten books on my ‘TBR’ for summer 2015. My summer reads are often books I would not normally read. So these are the books I would love to finally get read, and reviewed for you wonderful readers.
I have seen the trailer for the film of this book and it looks utterly wonderful. The book follows Cheryl Strayed who aged twenty-six believes she has lost everything. In the wake of a number of life destroying events she makes the impulsive decision to walk eleven-hundred miles in the hope of piecing her life back together.
This book teaches that learning that it’s okay to ask for help can be the most difficult but most important lesson to learn. I have seen so many brilliant comments about this book I need to read a copy. Also, cover = stunning.
A book that may open a door to understanding my struggle with anxiety
After reading ‘Of Mice & Men’ I need to read more from this sublime author.
I adored Mindy Kaling’s writing of the Mindy Project and wanted to read more of her wonderful style of writing, but in a bookish form
Buzzfeed names this as ‘The ultimate dystopian love story. If it doesn’t make you cry, your heart may be made of stone.’ I tend to find out if my heart is made of stone.
Not only a stunning cover but also a dystopian action/adventure which I am sure will lead me on a tale of brilliance.
One, this title is wonderful. Secondly, this book looks fantastic.
Kundera offers keen insight into the struggle to deal with independence and meaningful relationships
It’s Virginia Woolf, I mean. C’mon.
So there you go, my top ten reads for Summer 2015. As always thank you for The Broke and the Bookish for such a brilliantly Bookish Tag.
