book reviews and all things books by Lizzy Baldwin
I never feel lonely if I’ve got a book – they’re like old friends. Even if you’re not reading them over and over again, you know they are there. And they’re part of your history. They sort of tell a story about your journey through life. Emilia Fox

Dogfucous say: You are so right! They’re like stakes you drive in the ground that allow you to see where you’ve been and direct you to where you need to go.
Perfect quote! Two years ago I went back and reread several books that had been hugely influential in my life, some over 30 years ago. It is stunning how much both I and the world have changed, and how completely different it was to reread. It really was like looking back on a story of who I was and who I have become.
It’s interesting isn’t it! I love how when I start a book I have no idea whether it will change me or influence me. It is incredibly exciting though 🙂
