Good afternoon readers, hope you enjoyed the review last night! There will be a new review up later tonight but for now a new exciting venture for myself as a writer as well as another point to tick off the 101 things list.
Recently I have been trying to improve my writing and journalistic skills. I’ve been a part of a number of different websites, writing reviews and the likes and writing for my university magazine but none have felt quite right for me. One day I was trawling through LinkedIn when I saw a post from a connection called Jack giving budding writers the chance to join their magazine Kolekto. I immediately emailed telling him of my interest in writing as part of the art department, and after a few emails back and forth, a profile shot, a few tweaks to my practice article submission and a detailed insight into the value of Kolekto as a brand, my first article was posted on the work of Virginia Woolf this morning. I don’t know what I meant when I wrote this bullet point, I mean, real publication is a little difficult to pin down, but the work I am doing for Kolekto really fits my style and the way I write. It’s given me something new and although it’s not about books, which I must admit I’m rather happy about as it’s stretching me in a different way and I honestly can’t wait to get my next article edited perfectly and uploaded. If you want to check it out, here is a link to my author profile and you can see my first article posted there!Β
Great news! And great piece on Virginia Woolf. Good luck with your new gig! π
Thank you!! :)) I will still be here blogging away but hope the new gig gets me writing something a little different π
Nice job on the Virginia Woolf piece. My only criticism (and yes, I must really be getting old!) is that I had to expand that teeny tiny elegant print font.
Thank you :))) yes the font is a little tiny! Sorry π
Congrats! Exciting news!
