Right, so this is a little nerve-racking to say the least, but I was recently interviewed for a podcast with the lovely Bradley from Green Embers! On the post I talk about my blog, and the reasons I set it up and I talk about one of my recent reviews, Johnny Nobody by Ian Probert! I really hope you check it out! It’s apparently quite long but according to Bradley I am around five minutes in. So if you have a spare five minutes go and have a listen to me rambling on, and give me a comment here on whether you like it!
Here’s the link ^^
Oh, and here’s a photo of my face currently; panicking about the sound of my voice and my nervous laughter! eek
You did a fantastic interview! And your voice was every bit as adorable as I thought it would be. I love you British 😉
Your answers were spot on as well! You really have created an awesome kind of community for authors (me included, obviously) and readers to communicate and talk about books as well as learn more. Good on you!
Also- I didn’t know that you wanted to work in the publishing industry. That’s so cool!
Thank you! 🙂 I was so nervous but I think it went well! I thought someone would point that out haha! I think I sounded even more British when it was played back, but I don’t mind if it was adorable 😉
It means so much for you to say that; when I started my blog it was just for me to write things for me and now I’m blogging to over a thousand people, I honestly can’t believe it, and I’m so glad people actually seem to enjoy my posts! I am desperate to work in the publishing industry, hopefully something editorial but we’ll see; fingers crossed though 😀 ❤
Thank you for the likes on my novel ‘Azure’ 🙂
Ahaha, I know what you mean by the first time really hearing your voice. It does get easier the more you do it (I think, I still have that look half the time when editing, lol). Thanks again for coming on, it was great to have you! 😀
it was my absolute pleasure to come on chat to you! I am so happy with the review! Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to be on the podcast! 😀
I just had to go hear what kind of voice would come out of the sweet little ‘current’ face. No one likes the sound of their own voice, Lizzy, but you have nothing to fear. It was as sweet as the face and quite lyrical… in fact you reminded me of the way Jamie Oliver speaks… with confidence and enthusiasm for his subject. I thought your review was delightful and informative. I will have to check out your reviews and see if we have read some of the same. One of my favorite books is ‘Shadow of the Wind’.
Oh! This comment is just too lovely, I was so nervous but thank you so, so much! I am so glad I at least sounded confident 🙂 Jamie Oliver eh? I love the way he speaks and he is pretty awesome so I’ll take that as a big compliment! I absolutely love books and I really wanted to discuss this book with others. When I sat down to read the book I knew I had to get involved and let others know about it and it means so much that people enjoyed my review (and could at least stand the sound of my voice! haha) Please do check out my reviews and let me know what you think, there is always room for improvement, and thank you again for commenting 🙂 ❤
