The first point I have to make is an apology! After getting back from university I have thrown myself back into working to pay off the student debt and haven’t had time to review!! But I haven’t stopped reading I promise!! Expect a barrage of reviews soon! 🙂

The second point to make is I have done it, I have a kindle and I really love it 🙂 but I’ll leave that to another post!

Soooo….to my review!! As soon as I received my kindle (for my twentieth birthday! Yes, I’m no longer a teen!) I decided to download an easy read and I went for the first that popped up….now I should have guessed from the title ‘dating a cougar’ it wasn’t going to rock my reading world but I dutifully sat down to read. The book starts with  the inevitable female, a beautiful older woman, also an ex model who has fallen out of romance, until she meets Casey an arrogant and strong alpha male who has his eyes set strongly on the stunning Alexa. However she has other thoughts and quickly dismisses their romance due to the age gap, (explaining the cougar part!) The story weaves between their brewing romance and a number of sub stories including Alexas daughter and Casey’s cousin Seb.

I won’t lie to you the story was predictable and although I finished the book I didn’t get the full satisfaction of finishing a book that I normally get. Unfortunately the smaller characters definitely lacked depth especially Alexa’s best friends who I thought would have added interesting plot lines which would have definitely boosted the narrative. The main problem I found with the book is that there was a lack of adversity for Casey and Alexa. As a reader I wanted more excitement and danger for their relationship! Although the romance was at times hot and heavy it lacked the major storyline which as a reader I craved throughout the novel. HOWEVER if an easy read with romance is what you’re looking for give this a go…just don’t expect too much! 🙂
